It could also mean that Apple could be licensing the PPC to Intel to produce as well.  Don't forget that Intel does offer sourcing, that is they produce chips for other companies.  And as stated above, it could also be discussions over the XScale for a haldheld or the iPod, or for networking chips, system controllers, etc.  Shoot, this could mean 1000 other things as well.
