Not really sure how you put Amiga into that. Maybe Amiga Inc could sue the Amiga community for piracy?

Does anyone know how much Amiga Inc is worth? If i were rich i would pay no more than $5 Million. But maybe Discreet FX could let it slip how much Amiga Inc demanded when they tried to buy it a while ago ;)

Made you look; this link is about how much the RIAA wants in damages from Limewire. I somehow could imagine Amiga Inc. requesting such a outrageous amount to sell A.I. though. They requested an equally crazy amount starting at 100 million in 2006. Of course our investors upon hearing that knew they were Joke Company and were insulted.

They have not taken A.I. serious since.

Not that it's wrong to sell a company for 100 million dollars. Some companies are worth much more than that. The problem here is asking for that much money after dragging the Amiga brand through the mud for so many years was a bit over the top.

No comment except to say there was a higher figure mentioned. Much higher. After all, one has to show their investors that the company is growing in value, right?

Yup, they said starting at 100 million so I don't doubt that.

There is a local business that ruined a local 150 year old family business when they bought it out and they remind me alot of Amiga, Inc.  Like an article yesterday, where they canceled 1.8 billion outstanding shares of stock. All part of the new shell game by the holding company to shield itself from the bankruptcy they caused of the family business they bought out a few years ago.

Even then, I think you are over valuing the company by approx $4,999,995 ;)

Last I heard it was up for sale so the investors want to cash out.

My comment, much like Transitions, was in relation to a particular time when they had investors. I'll be kind and won't mention how I sense their investors feel about them.
It's a fact that John Grzymala is working on behalf of the Kouri Family trust, which is Itec. Whether or not he is also acting on behalf of ProKom (Asseco) is unknown to me.
Pluritas in another matter. I've already expressed my view of this "sale" in other places.

The really sad part is that Escom picked up the remains of Commodore for something in the neighborhood of $10 million - and that was when there was product to sell, a healthy market to sell to, and a healthy pool of skilled first- and third-party professionals available to develop for the platform.

Now, with the brand name tarnished, no products, no non-hobbyist developers, and the few remaining intellectual property assets in a perpetual state of legal Hell, they have the audacity to demand ten times as much money.

It boggles the mind.

To be fair, Transistion and I are referring to a past episode, which discreetfx only wrote about in 2007.
What Pluritas is asking now, and what they are saying is included in that offering, would require a personal contact.

Fair enough, but the portfolio of Amiga Inc today is just as bad as it was in 2007, if not worse, and I highly doubt they've had the moral epiphany to price the company anywhere near its actual value since that date, too. :)

/me rubs eyes...
did you just put Amiga Inc. and "moral" in the same sentence?
/me hears all the unpaid devs laughing in the background.
