CDTV Keyboard
« on: January 03, 2004, 06:56:57 PM »
Does any one know or can anyone point me in the right direction to find out some info about the CDTV keyboard?

I've managed to get hold of one, but the 5-pin mini-din on the end of the cable has been replaced with a 9-pin D-type connector.

What I intend to do is to take a 6-pin mini-din off the end of one of the dead PC keyboard I have lying around and put it on the end of the CDTV cable. There are 5 cores in the CDTV cable: black, red, white, orange and yellow. Black is earth and I'm assuming red is +5v, but does anyone know what the others are.

That makes perfect sense! Thanks.

I know the CDTV connector is a 5-pin mini DIN, but I don't think it'll be going back on a CDTV at anytime soon as I'm trying to get it working with my towered A1200 through an Eyetech keyboard adapter.

I think I've managed to work out which coloured wire does what   though:

Red: GND
Orange: KBD CLK
Yellow: KBD DAT
White: +5V

Thanks again for your help.
