I couldn't resist sneaking it in another thread, but seriously now:

DragonFly BSD.

Edit: *cough* http://bsd.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=71354&cid=6457414 *cough*

I ran on Dillon' s UUCP for my email and usenet for many a year for my BBS' internet connection (via dialup)  Memories of good times.

As a social experiment, and because nobody else has submitted/moderated this as a news article...  (Yes, I'll write it up properly now...)

The thread's been running for half a night with:
"Subject : DragonFly BSD."  It's garnered 50 views, at least 5 of which my own, as I've refreshed impatiently to see if anyone's as mindblown as I am.  (If ever a guy could pull this off... and he's actually going to do it.  Someone else's Slashdot post - http://bsd.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=71354&cid=6456769 - sums up my thoughts.)

Now let's see what happens when I edit the topic to something like "New OS Looks to Amiga Principles..."  -- My apologies to the 45 of you who'll be reading the same thing again. ;-)

Edit: Okay, submitted as proper news, with a bit more context... though I mistakenly flagged it as 'Software' when it should be 'Internet News.'  Apologies if I've annoyed anyone; I get a bit loopy when I'm enthusiastic!

Looks interesting, I am a FreeBSD fan and user... so I guess we'll have to see how it goes.  Tired now, so buggering off to bed - I'll fully read the site later.
