Any drive will work, hell, in emergencies I have even pluged an old DVD burner into a USB external HD case and it worked fine :-D

I'm guessing the Mac-Mini uses slave on Cable Select which would lead me to believe 'high' would be best.

I can't be sure of that though; does anyone know for sure?

Just use the Jumper (set to Master), it doesn't matter what you set the CS to.
