Hi
I'm trying to setup a friend's A1200 (with 4MB Fast RAM) for use with WHDLoad.
Problem is I have a 10GB Disk that I have partitioned on my amiga with 2 partitions: workbench:1GB and Work:rest
I have partitioned and formated using SFS and installed WB3.1 on workbench partition.
OS is booting fine on my friends amiga, but it can't see the second partition (about 8GB)
My amiga can see it because of 3.1 ROM and OS 3.9
I tried to kick 3.1 rom with Skick with no success.
Its been a loooong time since I tried to install anything 3.x on pre 3.1 rom machine.
is there a way to use the second partition with kickstart 3.0 and WB 3.1?
or, is there a way to kick 3.1 rom on that machine with just fast ram and no MMU ?

Out-of-the-box Kickstart 3.0/3.1 do NOT work with drives >4 GB. There WILL be data corruption.

The way to go here is to extract the scsi.device from the amigaos rom update file of your 3.9 installation, copy it to the boot volume along with loadmodule and then use loadmodule to make the new scsi.device resident.

i simply use setpatch from 3.9, seems to work fine.

That is also an option (you need the rom update file too). Eats more RAM though.
