delshay Posts:1009 | December 02, 2013, 10:13:01 PM New 2014 Modification Standard card gets small upgrade SCSI bus moved and now clocks with PPC processor. LSI 53c710-1 first for a blizzard card. NOTE: there is no advantage for user(s) to upgrade SCSI chip. This card has a change of bus to take advantage of faster SCSI chip. OTHER NOTES: simms get a small downgrade for this card as faster EDO simms required for other project. SIMMS: 28.5ns downgraded to 29ns.* OTHER EDO SIMMS: 28ns Resv with possible move to 25ns *new* 2014 Modification. Original phase 5 shim replaced with copper shim. Chipset gets copper shim but retain alloy heatsink. *to be upgraded |
delshay Posts:1009 | August 03, 2013, 08:39:29 AM Here is a link to overclocked Blizzard card benchmarks but interestingly you can also see the Cyberstorm results too. I would not read to much into benchmarks figures but this card is due for a update but will permanently remain in a non overclocked state as it is not permitted on this card. RAGEMEM link below. http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum/viewtopic.php?post_id=59274 |
delshay Posts:1009 | December 09, 2012, 01:29:47 AM UPDATE: Screenmode in above screenshot is 1024x768 32 bit & correct speed for video bus 6/18.. 37.5Mhz PCI bus. All above is the new basic standard for modified card, but this may change due to some demanding applications. |
delshay Posts:1009 | July 03, 2012, 09:02:23 PM Correction new standard for modified cards only for users who dislike overclocking. OTHER NOTES: Blizzard PPC PCI slot minimum speed 37.5Mhz - 41.5Mhz Max (not shown in screenshot) Bvision SGRAM 110Mhz minimum. WARNING! DO NOT TRY THIS ON YOUR BLIZZARD CARD THIS CARD IS MODIFIED FOR THIS. |
Karlos Posts:16867 | July 03, 2012, 07:56:55 PM I'm sure it's very fast compared to the stock BlizzardPPC, but seriously, how do you set a "new standard" for something no longer in production? |
delshay Posts:1009 | July 02, 2012, 07:34:08 PM Phase II Ultra modification all overclocking is banned. 68060@60Mhz PPC300Mhz. With some user who dislike overclocking all overclocking is removed, but performance has gone up. It also shows card is still right up there with the cyberstorm in memory bandwidth in a non overclocked state. It will outperform some overclocked Blizzard card that claim to be faster. WARNING DO NOT TRY THIS ON YOUR BLIZZARD CARD,THIS CARD IS MODIFIED FOR THIS. |
