A500 with GVPHD-8+ system
« on: May 16, 2015, 11:20:33 PM »
I have decided to let this system go.  I'm building up another A500 system and this one has become extra and needs a new home.

What's included:

1.  A500, rev.5 with megachip, Indivision, ROM switch (1.3 and 2.04)
2. GVP A500-HD8+ with 8MB RAM, 52MB hard drive (fresh load of WB 2.1), and the 286 bridgeboard
3. A1011 floppy drive
4. original power supplies for both the 500 and the GVP. GVP is configured to use its power supply right now, but it can be switched easily to run off the A500 power supply.
5.  original "tank" mouse
6.  original diskettes for the 286 bridgeboard and copy of the FAAASTPREP disk,
7.  original manual on the sidecar and oversized copy of the bridgeboard manual

I have checked out the 1011 and it reads and writes perfectly.  Internal drive also works, but occasionally hiccups and won't read a disk it just formatted!  Probably needs a good cleaning.

Computer works fine also.  The Denise is the original .  Don't have a spare Super.  Still works.

Checked out the bridgeboard with another drive and it works also.  Due to the diminutive size of the hard drive installed, the emulation software is NOT loaded up right now.

Case colors are close.  The computer is slightly darker than the sidecar.

This is an NTSC system and the A500 power supply is 110V.

Rather than hassle with a.org's restrictions on picture size, I've built a quick and dirty web page with large format pictures.

All of this weighs 22 pounds.  Shipping box is 35" X 16" X 6".  It's an A500 box, but the serial numbers DO NOT MATCH!!  I'll turn it inside-out for shipping.

It will be shipped from Amarillo, TX 79121 so you can figure your own shipping costs.  I'm willing to go USPS, UPS, or FedEx.  Your pick.

Asking $200 + shipping.

Will keep this offer open for 1 week here, then off to fleabay.

First come, first served.  PM please.

Looks like it's sold.

Will have some more odds and ends as I dig down to the Mesozoic layer of my computer room!

Nice!  It looked like a great system at an excellent price.  Glad you've found a new home for her!  :)
