I'm a bit worried about the dongle thingie - hope it will neither be a required change in the motherboard design (for a single OS?) nor a dongle occupying a whole USB slot.

No idea. My information is that there should be something that prevents/separates those boards that actually have a licence from thost that don't.
As to the Blizzard version - can we take it as a promise?
It's (a always) a promise that we'll try. We
want a Blizzard version. The only real hold-up would be the issues I mentioned before - the non-standard hardware support. There has to be a certain amount of supported hardware - we're not going to sell it if it doesn't support at least a basic set of hardware to make it usable.
Slapping a sticker on it saying "does not support your IDE harddrive" isn't an option, really.
