Do people actually get to USE the AOS4 preview, or is it show and tell only?

@corpse

He was pointing out only that AOS4 has some stiff competition.  Of course, for the first time we can do a head-to-head comparison of MOS vs AOS4.

And to note, *ALL* of MOS is PPC native, not just sections.

The best forums are evenhanded ones, not ones dedicated to the singular purpose of worshipping something that one has never seen. And if they are, I'm glad to break up the monotony a bit.

The Amiga community is best served by giving it a full view of the options available and picking the best one, not narrowly focusing on a single solution with all the intellect of a hippo. So sorry to burst your bubble pal, there are other considerations out there than blind name worship. Fanatisism is what drives people away from Amigas.

This is a plea to not start an all out flame fest. It's easy to do and it's almost there.

I'm sure most will agree deep down they are interested in progress on BOTH fronts.

I apologise for my rant, but this had to be said. MOS1.4 and OS4 will both be shown at Amiwest, and there is no reason at all why I shouldn't be allowed to mention both without being labeled as 'making negative comments'.

I agree with KennyR ... blind worship is pointless...
but many do have legit intrest in AOS4 and to them I hope they get what the're looking for!.

AmiWest sounds great! I look forward to the interviews and live video streams... this community somehow feels more alive now then it has in years! I thank Genesi for that!.

is it just me or are the OS4 trolls getting more intolerant every day?

You may well be correct in that us OS4 'Supporters' are getting less tolerant. The simple reason is that we're tired of MOS/Pegasos 'Supporters' slagging OS4 off before they have even seen it.

You will probably notice that most (note not all) intolerant remarks by OS4 'Supporters'  are in defense to a previous MOS/Pegasos   'Supporter'  remark.

IT makes visiting some Amiga news sites very frustrating, knowing that every OS4 post will be after a few comments slated by a MOS/Pegasos  'Supporter'.

Before anyone jumps in and says it works both ways, have a think... All the recent OS4 posts have been about progress with the OS. Recent MOS/Pegasos posts have been about various things that bbrv is doing to scupper Amiga Inc. So which type of post would be the one most normal (OS4 and MOS/Pegasos supporters) would consider most likely to draw the most slagging off? Then look at which actually gets the most slagging off!

Yes it is a dodgy picture, but what do you expect from a mobile phone camera!!

Oh yeah and I own an A1200T/060 with Mediator etc and an A1G3SE

Correction: people have already played around with OS 4 on some of the Tour stops.

Your own statement also contradicts your comparison idea.

How can you compare a part ppc OS4 running on a cyberstorm to ppc MOS on a pegasos.
I can see it know.
