"I really want flightsims"

Yeah, Falcon 5 (when it comes.) for OS4 would be a blast. Or Falcon 4 too for that matter... then I could tick off yet another reason not to have a PC.  :-D

My PS2 games whoop anything currently available for the Amiga.

Yeah, of course.  But an AmigaOne with Radeon 8500 will be able to kick your PS2's butt!  :)

If you only buy games, which are not cheaper on the PC, you won't buy many games,
BTW. Any games ported from the PC will ALWAYS be noticably cheaper on the PC
at the time the Amiga version is released.

Very true Steffen.  That's the case for anything, even the Mac has this problem.

Ahh I remember the days when everyone was trying to produce their own textmap engine, anyway the best ones (form aminet) were:

Poom (great graphics for the time)
Speed (very kewl, you can even use 3d glasses and get a true 3d mode)
Trick or treat (horrible graphics but great mulitplayer game and I think it works on an a500)

Well I only have two reasons why I would want a PC.

1 Flight sims. I don`t really care about any of the other games.

2 Lightwave 7.5. Though hopefully Realsoft3D will be good enough to stop that craving.

There are so many gaps in the games market on the Amiga. He have no upto date simulations of any kind.

Another game to add to your list of FPSers is Corporation. OK graphics for then, but with a control system which made it horrible. It may be a good game, but I`ll be damned if I`ll play it.

Shadow Of The Third Moon is a great flight simulator.. I loved it...

The best firstperson shooter for Amiga must be Gloom Deluxe. Never had so much fun and it got splitmode in 2 players mode also, wich is really, really fun..

Then we have Breathless.. Loved that game, but wich fool found up such stupid code paper... I cant find my red paper anywhere wich irritates me a lot.

Hrmf...
I love and respect people which care! And not those with
a heart made of stone.

Shadow of the Third moon was very good. But for some reason
I was never able to save the game, so I never had the chance
to get into it. Very dull to be forced to replay the training missions
each time you start the game...
And eventually it just refused to work. A very quirky and unstable
game that, from the very beginning.

Hyperion has indeed made the best contributions to this genre on the Amiga. I have both Heretic 2 and Shogo, and I am planning to buy Quake 2, as soon as I find someone to buy it from. The only downside is speed, although that's not Hyperion's fault. My BlizzardPPC200MHz isn't really fast enough to play Shogo satisfactorily, and H2 is close to unplayable. Looking forward to see them running on the AmigaOne though!

Oh, btw, Steffen: Was that Majesty I saw on one of those ARC2002 photos? Any ETA on that game?

Wish the Amiga had an Unreal port for me to look foward to, now that is one port I'd pay a few extra bucks to play on Amiga over the PC version, as the PC version just seems too damn flakey. Anyhow if you have not played the expansion pack on this one, you should, it is nice as hell!
