"Quasar Wars" from "Light Design" totally free shortly
« on: February 28, 2010, 10:47:14 PM »
The Quasar Wars game will be available this week on Aminet

From Light Designs we want to thank everyone who supported our only scheduled game in  the AMIGA platform, called "Quasar Wars". As a gift, we will shortly available versions of Quasar Wars CDTV (OCS/ECS) and Quasar Wars CD32 (AGA) platforms totally free to the AMIGA community. This versions was never released, only the commercial floppy version.

Unfortunately, we are a fairly unknown and even our present day game is unknown to many. I personally was responsible for the conversion to CDTV, but it was canceled.

Game Information:

Thanks!

I am fixing some strange errors, A500 with A570 drive don´t boot well and i am working on it, the cdtv and cd32 work wihtout problems. Another strange bug is a crash playing the level 2 with 040 and 060 cpu Amiga´s, but work well on 000, 010, 020 and 030, strange too, patience :)

Yes, of course we are working on this strange bugs but the update consumes 352kb more memory (not run on my cdtv with 1mb but work with the megachip installed)
Need 1376 kb free in this moment

That's a great gesture and the game seems nice too. I'll give the original a spin when I get home. Respect!

That's a problem with the 040/060 CPU only? Then it is related to one of the lacking instructions those CPU have.

Why not make two different executables? This way people can choose which version they want and install it to HD without fuss.
