Hi
AmigaOS 4.x runs on the PowerPC family of processors, but still kind of based of 3.1 so I would stick with the 3.1 Roms to avoid any issues, but you can always give it a go!

The 3.x ROM version is irrelevant for OS4. Once the Bootloader has loaded the 4.x Kickstart, the 68K CPU is set to sleep and the 3.x ROM is ignored. If there are issues with OS4, they exist regardless of the physical ROM version.

Thomas is correct here. What you have to remember is the startup sequence of Amiga OS 4. I’ve installed Amiga OS 4.1FE on my Amiga 4K with Cyberstorm 060/PPC Stanchu Upgraded.
I did encounter back a couple of years an issue with 3.1.4 ROMs where it would hang when attempting an Install of OS4.1FE. Changing to 3.1 cured that. But using 3.2.2 ROMs and no issue.
Just remember to read the pamphlet about setting the MAPROM function off in the Cyberstorm before attempting the installation and bootup. It appears it either won’t MAPROM the version 4 ROM it uses or it’s just Hyperion worrying it can get copied out of RAM?
I even managed to pre-format my partitions with PFS3 (Not included with OS4) so I could use that filesystem instead of the FFS or SFS.
