Drat. And I was registered for the June batch, and no invoice. I have written Petro hoping for some info. I wonder why the July batch passed through and not the June one?!

I had problems at the bank, spotting the address of Petro's bank from the invoice; also whether the invoice should be paid to Petro's name or Power Service gmbh. I hope the money won't bounce back :(

Thanks Kokos!
I just got confirmation by the bank that the transaction went fine. And I didn't use those details above. Anyway :D

I have a Samsung LED/TV unit; it has both SCART and composite video inputs. I guess the A1200 can be connected directly to the composite input? Which resolutions would it handle in such configuration?
Sorry for the possibly stupid question, but I have never had an Amiga before :)

Got mine yesterday! Woot! But I still haven't got a chance to check it out since I have been quite busy.
I am a new Amiga user, I always wanted to get one back in the day (the A1000,) but the cost was too high, so I got an Atari 520ST, and when I could have afforded an Amiga, they weren't sold anymore :(
Anyway, hopefully I'll have time this weekend :D

I had a chance to open the package early this morning, though I didn't try turning the machine on. However, there are a few strange things:
1) the machine has been opened; the case was half open, a few screws are missing and others are floating in the box.
2) the warranty seal was forced open, and there was no screw.
3) when I shake the machine, a plastic noise can be heard; possibly a piece of the case, perhaps one of the plastic latches on the back.
4) there is no signature from Petro, although the machine looks used; the mouse in particular, the right button emits a nice "click", but the left button seems somewhat loose, and it does not do any noise when pressed; don't know whether that's normal for a new mouse. Furthermore, the mouse cord is yellowed.

Has anybody experienced something similar with the previous shippings?

My usual luck it seems :(

So I tried the machine, and it boots up just fine. However:
1) The PSU's plastic case is broken on one side; obviously it's the side with the switch, so that it hangs on the side. Not a nice sight.
2) The mouse's left button switch is broken.

I suppose it could have been worse; I'll try and contact Petro and see if a replacement is possible for these parts. Considering I paid £200 overall, I would have expected at least a fully working set.

Beautiful system!  For a number of people complaining about the case having been opened, I think I recall reading that the keyboards had been swapped out from some crazy French AZERTY keyboards as part of the sale to the company in India.  And the brown stuff on the mouse cord, jesus, spray it with some Windex it should wipe right off.  I don't know what people have against keeping things clean, I've seen that goop on more old cables than I could count - still don't know what it is though!  :p
It's not just about the dirty mouse or some minor defects. There's people who had broken keyboards, or like me broken mouse and broken PSU. The fact that it can happen in 1% of the cases is a non sequitur, too; because if one bought something from a retail, he would get it replaced. So yes, people has every right to be upset if something went pear-shaped, because it means that money went down the drain. Not nice.
