"Backing Up" Amiga Game CD Roms
« on: May 05, 2012, 02:30:36 AM »
Hey guys

I have a couple of Amiga CD Rom Game titles and would like to make a "backup copy" so I dont scratch the originals. Can I just use any cd copying program or are there special settings for the Amiga games? ?Please advise. Thank you

If they are anything like the CD32 games then it should be a simple case of making an ISO image out of it.

In linux simply do

$ umount /dev/cdrom
$ dd if=/dev/cdrom of=foo.iso

In windows use any ripping software. This thread should help too. :)

Just do a DAO copy and you should be fine.
