This technology has to be viewed on the context of the period. There was a lot of interest at the time in expanding the home entertainment value of computers to a wider less informed audience. The CDTV idea was way ahead of its time and suffered because of that. The technology was just not advanced enough. But like many things this was a journey to somewhere else, so for those that love their Commodore kit you can be proud of being part of that history. It is a shame that some choose to make comment in ignorance of the historical significance of all Commodore products.
I will say that my CDTVs are my least used of my machines though compared to other machines of that period the CDTV is a fine peice of kit. And please don`t use the N word ... :-)
