Amiga's in film...
« on: July 09, 2004, 11:06:01 AM »
Watching the film "Antitrust" last night I noticed something funny...

The names of the lead characters was Alice, Lisa and Gary. I know that this is almost certainly a coincidence, but it there had been a Paula I would have known it was real!

Not in film, but a tv-detective (and a good one too, of course)
Inspector Morse.
One episode his companion Lewis mentions "that's a very good computer", and if I saw it correctly, I saw a workbench screen :-).

There's another Morse episode with an Amiga 2000 in, the episode is called 'Nemesis'.

The bit with the Amiga in was a touch of Jurassic Park, the bit where they realise the programmer guy has screwed them :-)

Greetings,

I remembered early 90's, there was movie. I think Sandra Bullock was one of the cast and I think it was her first movie also the orginal casts like Lee Majors(Steave Austin),
T'Was "BIONIC SHOWDOWN". The original Bionic man and Bionic woman is about to retire and they need a replacement to investigate something... (my memory is vague again...)

Anyway, when the doctors were working on Sandra Bullock(forgot the name of her Character). They were showing a presentation done on an Amiga1000 in the Operating Room.
It featured how the doctors are going to implant the new bionic legs. I think she suffered from permanent disability or something.

BTW, I used to watch Six Million Dollar Man when I was very young.

Regards,

Gizz

Amiga's in film...

I remember when I was a teenager watching a a video tape called something like "Porno Bloopers" hosted by Ron Jeremy in front of an Amiga 2000/Toaster. The video had effects obviously done on the Toaster.

I uuuuhh.. Was only watching the video, because..uuuh.. I wanted to see the A2000

I bet the A2000 was the climax of the movie.

No sure don't :-( It was a vhs rental back in the late 80's. One of Cybereye and my weekend routines was to buy a dozen Taco Bell bean burritos, a case of ultra cheep beer, rent a movie (or porno), and hand out in the Amiga shop after hours. What a combination
