If I buy Petro's amiga 1200, can I make it work in the USA ?

Yes

And what do I need to make it work ?

You need a USA (110V) PSU (from a 1200 of 500 is fine).

Then you need a display.  
If you have a 1084s or similar monitor, you're good.
If you have a scandoubler, you're good.

It won't output to your NTSC television.

AmigaKit's silence in on this subject is interesting...   :sealed:

Amigakit has always been very good at not saying anything unless they are sure they are getting stock.

So, even if they were planning on trying to talk to Petro about this, they probably wouldn't say anything until they we sure stock was on it's way..

I appreciate that, even if, in the past, it has led to lots of people saying "Well, Vesalia has it on their website!!"  ;-)

Believe it or not, most people here with Amiga 1200's didn't get them directly from Petro, so there are other options.. ;-)

(And we have to consider how much 2nd hand reports and the language barrier is playing here...)

So, is it possible that someone found/has the XXXX number of A1200's, and Petro knows him and ordered 60 of them to resell??

Both stories could be true...

Why the person who has them is only selling to Petro and only in small batches?  If true, who knows.  At least the last part could be cost of shipping and up front money.

Still, good to see "new" Amigas in the eco-system.  ;-)

We have all had to replace drive belts on old computers, did they even do that?

Really? All of us?  
I've had computers for a long time and I haven't had to replace a drive belt..
Not saying it hasn't happened for people, but "We've all had to..."??

And I would be INCREDIBLY surprised if he went to that effort..

But that's just me.. (.. and apparently a lot of other people here..)

But a few of you expected more...
