Will be interesting to see what comes of his time as CEO of Microsoft, it's nice to see someone actually heavily invested and interested in actual Tech at the helm again.  Ballmer was 100% Marketing.

Even more interesting is the fact Satya has Gates back at MS as his advisor, but I'm pretty much convinced that's just window dressing to boost investor confidence in a young CEO like Nadella.

I just hope to God Nadella's first order of business is sorting out the train wreck that is Windows 8.  8.1 is a marked improvement, but it's still too little too late for enterprise with what it offers.  If HP once again offering Win 7 on all their PC's again doesn't say that, nothing does.

The Board changes at MS are also refreshing, it's nice to see some diversity from the usual "grumpy old white men who play golf" on the board of a major corporation.

At first I thought it would be good for MS to have an actual tech at the helm, then I read he also has an MBA.

Aye, he has a MBA in addition to his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and MS in Comp Sci.

Which ironically, makes him one of the most educated CEO's MS has ever had, considering Gates dropped out of Harvard.
