Overscan settings in Colonization
« on: May 13, 2014, 06:49:12 PM »
Hi,

I have Colonization HD-installed (using the game's installer, not whdload) on wb3.1 on my A1200.

My overscan settings are fine in WB, allowing me to use the full space of my monitor.

Colonization appears to be running in WB (at least, it looks like it - it's using Intuition windows, ClassicWB's gizmo that gives me a menu on right-click works).  However my overscan settings seem to be ignored - I can't move windows freely around the full space of monitor.

Any ideas how to persist these settings into the game?

Tried using something like NewMode to force it into an overscan-sized screen?

That's looking promising.  It works fine in the menus but bails when the game proper starts, but it's a start (and something to fiddle with at atleast ..)

Thanks

Sure.  You could try some other mode promotion utilities, as well.  I'm not familiar with that game in particular, but have done similar with promoting other 100%  system-friendly games.  Good luck!
