To LP:

I play Duke Nukem every day on the Kali game server, but I play the PC version.  The PC version of Duke Nukem is the best version of the game.  The Amiga 1200 version SUCKS!  I have drawn some of the best maps in the world for Duke Nukem.  They are the famous HGC Series of maps.  There are 36 of the HGC maps for Duke Nukem so far.  Go to Kali and you can get the famous HGC maps from me.     :-D

To Corrie:

I would NOT be very happy with those results, those results SUCK !

I run Duke Nukem on my Pentium 4 PC at 800 X 600 resolution and the game runs at full speed while playing deathmatch on the internet.  You should be able to do this too.  Duke Nukem is an old game that does not require much speed or graphics power.  Surely, a computer like an Amiga 4000 Tower should be able to handle an old game like Duke Nukem at 800 X 600 resolution and at full speed (at least 30 fps).  If not, then buy the PC version of the game, because the Amiga version SUCKS !

Rather play Duke on a Pentium 266 which is 3 times  :-x   faster than a A1200-060 not to mention that the game is running in native code.

The Amiga 1200 version SUCKS!

I am sure Amiga 2000HD Professional version will rock our world! :-)

Oh, Duke runs 60fps in 800x600 on Pegasos. Fast enough.

doomaster: LOL! , btw duke3d amiga is A STRAIGHT port of the pc one , and its the latest DUKE 3d version ever released for pc! , stop spreading ####.

to the guy who asked about 030 , yes it will work but i advice you to just wait a little bit longer as its still an VERY early hack/port , and remeber everyone said it was IMPOSSIBLE to port it , look...well we got it now ,when we have like 0.5 or 0.8 i guess the game will run like it should, though i aint unsatisfied with the results on my setup atm , but thats because i use a highend a1200 .

my a1200 (THE TOY) is infact 600 TIMES faster than doommasters A2000.  or maybe not.

anyway dood's keep in mind...this is an very early port still, time will heal the wounds and remeber duke3d works fine in Shapeshifter even and atm its running faster trough shapeshifter than the actual amiga port (68k) on my setup , but the ppc (wos) port is faster than the mac version ofcourse.

cheers
Whats up with all the hate!

Erm, so is the A1200 version. It's been compiled for 68k and so is native...

Ok, it's not hand-coded assembler any more, and 060 isn't as fast as 266 pentiums anyway, but if I guess if people playing duke on an Amiga wanted to play it on a PC, they wouldn't bother with the Amiga, would they?

And as Piru said, Pegasos eats it alive. :)

Warp Quake runs a bit nippy on my Amiga PPC and ADoom, so i am guessing, after a few more versions) that Duke will as well, Warp version wise. +30fps is pretty good.
