Looking for an old game
« on: July 04, 2004, 10:00:08 AM »
Hey All,

I am looking for an old game (platform shooter) that I played a while ago (I think on the amiga) I only remember bits of it, any suggestions of it's name would be much appreciated:

- Gun upgrades looked like crystal shards
- Many different levels types e.g. forest, factory
- You could get this helper bot which would shoot at enemies.
- Close to the end was a level called No Man's Land
- When you killed the main boss he appeared to be someone you knew, I think the his name was Dr Kain he then blew himself up.

Any Ideas?

Cheers
Kingers

Hi odin,

The graphics of this game looks really good.  Is it a fun game to play?  What can you tell us about it?   :-)

My favorite TV shows:  Star Trek Voyager, Forever Knight, Stargate SG1, Married with Children, As Time Goes By, Mr. Bean, Smallville, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Xena

I'm the same.  Never played it.  But Kid Chaos seems to spring to mind.  Bitmap Brothers had something to do with it if memory serves me right.

Nope, not the game. The guy you played was an adult and the levels didn't look so fisher price in style e.g. they were cleaner, straighter and smooth with not as much detail crammed into the screen. And it is definitely not Alien Syndrome (thanks for trying)!!! Some more detail:

I seem to remember being able to jump on the branches of the forest level(s) and the enemies hid in the grass. Also the forest level finished at the edge of a factory level. The first posted image is closer in appearance however the character was not as big.
