Pop an ad on Amibay in the Wanted section as well (mention US sellers); some descent folks will look there if they have something to sell.  In the Wanted Section it is permissible to post a target range you are willing to pay and this will help a huge amount.

I no longer refurb A1200's or A3000's due to the associated problems with them, preferring A4000D/T's, but good luck on your search.

If, as I suggested, you mention US sellers only, you will avoid those Euro-peeing types.

Amibay is all about rules, rules, rules (and they hate Americans).:hammer:

Someone is a Bill & Ted fan, and I don't use four letter words in the forums when asked to explain cross site attacks.

If you posted under FE, then you will get more responses by adding, "Looking to spend in the $200 USD range."  This does not violate their notion of price fixing or price gouging or price pricing, etc.

Mind you, I pick $200 out of thin air.

yup that's me: they wouldn't let me register with this username, so i picked my favorite character from Maniac Mansion :)
I'm guessing Amiga1 through Amiga76 and beyond were taken; I'd like to try: EatItRawFuzzNuts myself, but I'm already registered.

Actually they are frantically hiring people, but you would have to move here.

Well if you are considering an accelerated A1200 for $565 (this isn't Amibay), what about a refurbished A4000D for $600?  It is fully working, (except for the clock) with 68040, 16+2 MB RAM, Retr0brited plastics, newly enameled case, DD floppy, 3.1 ROMs, new keylock, and CD-RW drive.  Rebuilt with PSU 600W dual voltage, too.

Just offering...

I would do the $500 but add the following from Amigakit:

New Keyboard http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=49_89&products_id=336 $38.43

RGB to VGA adapter
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=42&products_id=183 $13.68 (my preference)

Full set of New 3.1 Install disks http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=1211 $17.18

Cable to allow an IDE CD Drive
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_67&products_id=608  starting at $8.38 -- ask to make a modified one so the last fits a CD Drive

Well to be fair, I was going to stiff him with a keyboard whose keys needed retr0briteing and a Cocolino based optical mouse for another $50, and shipping for for both the Amiga and Keyboard would run $60 USD.

So for just plain ole' retro gaming I suggested a back track to the original post for an A1200.

Sadly for me, I saw one of the Dell's ST2420 monitors on icBay for $70 plus $20 shipping and bought it with a $19 sound bar in between scribbling the posts above.  At 1920 X 1080 and syncing to 15kHz they really produce a nice picture in a small form factor.

Ha, so no sale on the A4K?  I'll probably be hitting you up in a couple years, lol.  ;)

On the monitor front, I always preferred 4:3 for my Amigas.  Got one of these on it's way to me now, for testing  :)

Won't you need a magnifying glass to view that tiny 20" monitor, and I  repurpose my monitors for use with my Roku for movies, so 4:3  lacks the "full fairyland effect."
