Just for completeness sake, the proper correct image is the A500 port here.

The A1000 port image has the odd and even pins inverted.  DO NOT USE THAT IMAGE!

I have confirmed for certain that this image is incorrect! DO NOT USE!

I will post a corrected image. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Zorro-Conectors on both Amigas are the same.

A A500 expansion on the A1000 connects just with ist backend to the front. (180° turned)

An A1000 expansion on the A500 has the same problem. The back of the card shows to the user.

So one of the drawings is false.

I agree one of these drawings may be false. The question still remains...Which one? Also where is pin one in relationship to the top edge or bottom edge of the card edge?

I drew this to the best of what have been able to find and remember so far from 1988-89, am I correct in having pin one on the bottom of the card adge and toward the from of both machines?

I too believe that the two machines are not upside down to each other but are just on opposite sides of the machine. Any hard evidence to support this would be appreciated.

If I can get some correct concensus on the orientation of pins top to bottom and left to right for each machine I will clean this up and add signal names. I will then re-post it for all to refer to.

AFAIK, that is correct.  It's not upside down, it's backwards.  Remember that the expansion port is on the oposite side of the case.  So, the expansion will be facing the oposite way.

Is that right?  I've always heard that they are the same connector, just upside-down.  That is the same connector, only mirrored...  Which is correct?

EDIT:  Something has to be wrong with that picture.  you wouldn't be able to plug an A1000 card into an A 500 without an adaptor board to switch the odd and even pins....
