Title: AROS Distro: Velocity Lite Screen Grab
Post by: dammy on December 05, 2007, 06:00:09 PM: Upcoming release of AROS (x86 32bit) distro, "Velocity Lite's" author Fishy_Fis has posted a screen grab found here (http://img405.imageshack.us/my.php?image=velocitynov303iw6.png). ISO is expected to be released sometime this weekend.

Not sure what Fishy_Fis is putting into this lite version. I would guess Wookiechat, Lunapaint, scum, and obviously a mp3 player. I would guess EUAE will be included as well.

Post by: jmbattle on December 06, 2007, 02:22:47 AM: I applaud AROS, however I have to say I'm not terribly impressed with the screenshot. The colour scheme and theme look decided 1998, while the mismatched font selection reminds me of AmigaSYS.

As I say, AROS is absolutely terrific, however the screenshot doesn't really 'sell the sizzle', so to speak.

The look is more consitent, glitches fixed, and some graphics have changed. What you see here is roughly the look Ive been after, its just been a bit more polished since.

Yes it is Dopus iconified. Native, not 68k.
