No buyers for Red's Retro, final liquidation.
« on: September 25, 2009, 03:39:24 AM »
No buyers were interested enough to proceed, so I have decided to liquidate remaining stock and cease operations.

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Reds-Retro-Computing__W0QQ_armrsZ1QQ_fsubZ20645369

I am going to attempt listing everything over the next 2 weeks to get it moved. For the time being there is a fair amount of items at rock bottom prices. If you have thought about an Indivision, A603 or IDE-Fix etc now is the time to pounce. Once this stock is moved, that is it.

Enjoy!!!

That's a relief to hear, at least. Shame there wasn't a buyer though :(

I got an eMail from Jim yesterday, stating that everyone who has pre-ordered and pre-paid will be refunded. Outstanding warranty returns will also be shipped back to their original owners, and future warranty cases will also be handled as if the business never closed. Jim is quitting in the "cleanest possible" way, which is IMHO the nicest way of saying "thank you" to the community.

If you want to be one of the first to have an Indivision ECS, you way want to check with Vesalia or AmigaKit.

I issued a paypal refund last night, you should have received notification? Please check your paypal account to verify the refund cleared and let me know.

@Schoenfeld

There is a possibility that I will be entering again the Amiga Market this time with larger investment and more money.  This is still subject to a few things happening.   This time I would also have a physical location.  I would offer Canada/USA direct shipping on both sides of the border.  If this works out I may purchase some of Red's inventory.

Sad to see Red's Retro go... Never ordered though, I'm a bit out of reach in Europe.

I'd be interested in the C128D - PAL's excellent - but $100+ shipping is a real killer. :(

No doubt there'll be another Red e-bay store next year.

Indeed.

He does seem to have the uncanny ability to stumble upon masses of Amiga equipment that nobody knows about.  The lucky sod :D

Very unlikely to be a store again.
