AMD had announced "open socket" standard with the new Torrenza "Torro" Opteron based motherboard. This enable 3rd party co-processor for opteron boards.

Intel and IBM had announced similar standard based on modified PCI express called "Geneseo".

There is a rumor on Inquirer that the new IBM Power 7 CPU will use either Torro or Geneseo.

What happen if AmigaOS 4 is ported to Power CPU, instead of PowerPC? Is it possible to run AmigaOS 4 on future opteron+Power boards?
BTW: Is the original name of Amiga Inc (1985) "Hi-Torro"?
