I'll take a desktop if I can get it, but if I can only get it, a mobo with 3.1 roms. If it came with a ram card or an accelerator, I would be even happier. I want to only spend about 100$ USD.
Thanks Everybody.

shame you don`t live in europe... i`ve got an a1200 with 030, 8MB fast, hdd and cd to sell (as i`ve got better one) :(

Check Ebay for an Amiga1200 system.
Many cheap and expensive systems here =)

Oh, I should inform that I'm stateside, so I'd like an NTSC board if at all possible.

Software Hut (http://www.softhut.com) has brand new a1200 towers for $399 and up but that's a bit out of your price range. They have refurbished replacement motherboards but not for an A1200...
Mr. Hardware (http://www.mrhardwarecomputers.com/) doesn't have A1200s on their webpage...
I guess E-Bay is your best bet.

I have mixed results with Software Hut. I'd rather not have a tower, since I'm spending 400$ for a computer with no hard drive. I'm just looking for a simple desktop machine to play some old games. Amithlon just doesn't cut it anymore, when it comes to games. I want something that could play old games. I miss playing Bard's Tale and Ultima and Emu's suck. Admit it. We all know.

Why not get a TV Tuner card for your Amithlon PC, and a cheap unexpanded A1200 off ebay. Then you can feed the TV output from the 1200 into the tuner card and use AmithlonTV to display it on your monitor. You get the best of both worlds then. :-D
It doubles up as a cheap scandoubler too! ;-)

I'm thinking of renting my brain out on ebay. What do you reckon? $0.01 an hour? ;-)

Actually if you REALLY want a cheap A1200-system, Vesalia got NEW NTSC A1200 motherboards for sale :-D
But it's just the motherboard after all.

I take it that's an UNPOPULATED mobo.

Well actually it seems to be with the 3.1 rom.
Here is the information from Vesalia:
********************************
1200 motherboard incl. 3.1 ROMs, new, NTSC version. Especially for the USA and Japan.
(Amiga) 49.90 EUR

Yep, those are new old stock and NTSC. It's a very fair price. Shipping to N. America will be expensive so you may as well create a large(ish) order while you're at it.
