I'd avoid Froyo android phones like grim death.  Android has come a long way and more modern versions are just super, but I never had anything but issues with Froyo.

What's the retail price on the Sermo "Amiga" phone anyways?  Can't seem to find CPU specs on it, and Froyo was notorious for dragging ass speed wise on slower CPU phones.

I had an email exchange with Todd from iContain - it started when I emailed him to tell him no Amigan would consider buying his products.

He told me that he had had tried to contact Hyperion and got no response from them so I got in contact with Rogue and tried to set up a communication.

As far as I can tell, Todd never even bothered to try to contact Hyperion - he just pretended so he could whinge, and justify misusing the Amiga name for an Android phone (amongst other ridiculous products).

It may be that he lied about trying to contact Hyperion, but my own experience has been that Hyperion does not respond to emails. I know you're thinking, why would they respond to an email from "jorkany@lolOS4sux.com", but I've used different addresses including my actual personal email account - never gotten a single response.

As for these iContain products, of course everyone knows it's bullcrap. The most blatant form of label engineering that there is.

A friend of mine once put a “Pentium 4“ sticker (which he got from the cafeteria pc) on his Sharp GX25, just for the laughs and for teasing uncles and other old people. But if you buy any of these “Amiga“ phones, once anyone finds out the “Amiga“ logo on your phone is engraved and not a sticker, and that you ‘ve basically paid for meaningless branding, they “ll be laughing at you, not with you.

The Friedens wrote software for AOS 3.x and Hyperion ported games to the classic Amigas. They are as much Amiga s anything that are left of the Amiga. Do you hate just for the sake of hating?
