I would like to enlist the aid of the forum members to compile a list of URLs that point to documents which would help someone who is new to the Amiga OS and hardware. I realize this was done before but unfortuately those were unavoidably lost during the upgrade. Please do not upload these documents, simply post the URLs. Preferably, these would point to the document itself with a one line explanation as to what it is. And please ensure that the URL works before posting. My thanks in advance to all who contribute.

We lost the good list we had going when the forum rollback occurred. Please help out by re-adding them to this thread.

The Google cache (http://64.233.183.104/search?hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=cache%3Awww.amiga.org) from before the data loss is still online - though you'll have to act quickly to find threads before they update it :-o
---edit---
I got as far as here (http://64.233.183.104/search?hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=cache%3Awww.amiga.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=15), but it seems as if the actual thread was never cached.
---edit---
Found it here (http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.amiga.org%2Fmodules%2Fnewbb%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ftopic_id%3D20933%26forum%3D18&start=0&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official) :-D I'll copy across the information to this thread...

I'm new to the Amiga myself and appreciate all the help I can get. This forum so far has been wonderful...! Here's a link to a lot of Amiga-related PDF-manuals:

Please note that a lot of them are German, although there are some English ones.
Well OK, try these out then.

M.A.C.R.O. (Michigan's Amiga Computer Resource Organization) has a very large collection of helpful site links at our club's yahoo group..
MACRO Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/macroamiga)
If there is significant enough interest I will cross post these on Amiga.org..

Just scrolling quickly through your guide, and I spotted a little mistake. Under serial preferemces XON/XOFF is software and RTS/CTS is hardware handshaking.
You also list the shark as an upgrade which it isn't. It's nothing until its released.

my networking page, it is old and I could not help anyone but it explains how I set up my systems

Anywhere, all this is highly appreciated

Sebastian
PD: some useful sites, even if they are in other language than english:
http://encanta.avalonsoftware.org/index.php (in spanish)
http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.com/ (the name says it all)
http://obligement.free.fr/ (in french but has a translate engine. Huge amount of useful information)
