That would be great - many thanks - if you don't fancy going through the process of converting and uploading I will always do it if you can send me the tape, which I will of course return, thanks again, Peter

Hi Peter

Mine is just called "The Amiga Video", code AM0001.  I'm amazed that it isn't one of the ones you have already (IIRC it was either a freebie or a very cheap "pay the postage" offer).  It's no hassle to convert to MPEG if it's definitely one you need.

Hi Chris - I don't have the video you mention so if you could do a convert and maybe take a quick scan of the cover, that would be great.

Details of how to upload to the EAB server are written in my first post of my EAB thread but if you have any questions please just fire me a quick PM. AVI format (someone has also recommended "Handbreak" software to convert to MP4 format) or MP4 format is fine - either would do and thanks!

I hear what people are saying about youtube - I'm thinking about all options at present but first and foremost is actually collecting together as many of the videos as possible to preserve them before the VHS tapes get too rare.

I've just been using Handbrake to convert the videos I'm sending you to MP4 and it works the best of all the software I've tried.  Good file size with MP4 format and good de-combing / de-interlacing.

I tried SUPER! but it didn't handle certain de-interlacing and 4:3 screen ratio issued well on certain of the video files.

I also tried Sony Vegas, which of course is excellent.  But its focus on quality makes its rendering engine the slowest of the bunch and you can't set it up to do batch renders of several videos overnight.
Music I've made using Amigas and other retro-instruments: http://theovoids.bandcamp.com

Pretty sure it's not! (for a start, it's definitely newer than 1987)

I have a couple more Videos uploaded to my Youtube Channel.

They are both about Video Mixing using Panasonic Mixers.

Although the Videos are mainly about Video production techniques there is some mention and use of the Amiga and of Dpaint III.
They are pretty interesting videos, if you are into this sort of thing - they are worth a watch even just to witness what a pain staking process video production was back in the early 1990's...
