You know, thats a good question.  I seem to recall that the first few meetings were on a Sunday, but that would have been about six or seven years ago.  It moved to Wednesdays because it was the best day to do it.  Thats what everyone agreed at the time, anyways. ;-)

It might be a "big" Amiga city because we Amiga users make lots of noise.

I estimated that there are probably 20 to 30 active Amiga users in the city, maybe more, maybe less.

Ottawa's population is around 800,000 or so.  It a really nice city to live in.  Eventually, I'll have lots of pictures up on my personal site, when I have a day to commit to it. ;-)

As AmiNTT mentioned, the population of the city is pretty big at over 800,000, but there's also the fact that Ottawa is Canada's capital, and is one heck of a vacation spo,t be it summer, or winter, where people from all over the world come to try out the world's longest skating rink, the Rideau Canal.

If you come to Ottawa, plan to stay a week, bring a lot of rolls of film, and take the tours.  You won't regret it.

Hi Argo,

Actually, the Ottawa Amiga Show for this year is held on the 9th of November.  A Saturday.  The official web site hasn't been updated yet, but that'll happen shortly.  As soon as it is, I'm sure that either AmiNTT or myself will post an official announcement on Amiga.org.

Sadly, we can only do one Amiga show in Ottawa per year.

OurAmiga.info User Group meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at an Ottawa pub called The Royal Oak.

Going to the big city for a vaccation !! Harrisy !!  :-P

Sounds like you got a nice group .. if Ottawa wasn't 6 to 8 hours drive I'd pop by

All the (ex)Amiga users from my time left the my home town (for University / College .. including myself) and I havn't meet any in a long time. There was quite a bunch considering the size of the city.

I know, it just conflicts with my martial arts.
