Yes, and as my wife politely replied to me regarding this topic; EVERY Amiga person would love to buy this machine, if one had this kind of loose money available! As simple as that, I think.

I bet you could find a nearly identical full tower case in the vintage computer section.

Slightly interesting: the date stamped on the inside of my Escom 4000T's metal cover is 1986. That could either be a misprint, or Enlight must have had a huge surplus of these cases that Commodore/Escom snatched up, presumably for peanuts.

I'd be kind of shocked if anyone was making cases like that (and in that form factor) in 1986.  Then again, my memory's been known to be off before.  ;)

I don't hate, but I guess I just don't understand.  Spending that kind of money on something that equates to little more than bragging rights to a bunch of Amiga people you probably don't even know is mindless.

But if it was mine to sell, I'd probably do the same thing.

Just MHO.

As for as I recall, he puts it up for sale every few months, and then no one wants to pay that much and it is dropped;  email him and see.

You can pick up an Amiga Technologies version with a slightly different lower plastic piece for around $900 to $1200 USD stock depending on condition; many (like mine) are fully expanded with enough stuff to make a Christmas goose envious -- they go for a wee bit more to cover the costs of the CSPPC, Mediator, Deneb, Radeon 9200, Indivision AGA, DVD-R/W in SATA and IDE, wickedly large SCSI-3 15K 147 GB HDDs, ZorRam, and stuff.

Thanks for your help. I have sent a message to him on eBay so it will be interesting to see what he says.
