Wasn't this the one up for sale with that weird auction a few months back, I recognize the pale wooden flooring.

Yeah, it does ring a bell from that website count down price auction  held a while back. I know the non-AT Commodore Amiga 4000T is a rare beast - I guess someone out there  will be willing to buy it for the right price. I think GBP3500 is a bit  steep but of course that is just my opinion.

Found the old link here: http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.com/commodore-amiga-4000t-for-sale.aspx
And EAB forum topic for the original sale: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=69432

Hopefully someone steps up to take it off the  seller's hands.

This does indeed look like a genuine Commodore A4000T, the only amiga I would sell an organ for... Problem is I don't have any to sell at the moment :-/

Amiga Technologies produced the A4000T after Escom bought the rights, but it didn't have such a nice case.

Well, just to nitpick: The case is identical. It's the front fascia that's different. But I agree that the Commodore one is nicer :)

Wow so cool its the only amiga ive never sen in person and i've seen almost all of them. Even the Boxer, Access 1200, Viscorp prototype, Walker, and others! Having said that this machine is not worth over $5k us! thats insane

It does look better than the at version, but the at version looks more modern to me.

Man I regret selling my 4000T i sold it when I got my peg2 but now i'm into classics again and miss it like crazy. I had a Cyberstorm PPC and Cvision, vlab motion/tocatta, firecracker tons of stuff!

Everything from the motherboard, ROMS, and features is identical between the CBM and the Amiga Technologies version except the front lower plastic ventilation slots on the plastic front.  Both cases are Enlight  versions of a standard AT Tower case.

Personally, I believe the A4000T is a brilliant design with both IDE and 4091 controllers, tons of room for drives, a coin cell battery, addition of a standard AT style battery connector, standard AT power supply and ease of access to all the insides.

I bet you could find a nearly identical full tower case in the vintage computer section.
My personal favourite was the 3000 Tower. It was a real upgrade from the A2000.

If you could that would be great, cheers.

Bill Gates was looking for a A4000T the other day. I'll let him know that this one is available.

That's crazy money. What's in it that makes it worth that kind of money?
