Placed an order today.  Definitely looking forward to using it.

DVI is the way to go with digital displays.

I'm hoping to snag one of these, as well as an ECS model to follow.  My only concern is that I use my Blizzard SCSI module and I'll have to work out where to mount the DVI and SCSI ports.  Has anyone modified the 1200 by removing the RF adapter to use that space in the case?

I first read that as RF shielding, which yes i have removed. The modulator, no :)

i'm looking at some pictures now.. looks easy though. I think i might do that.

i removed that a long time ago. no airplanes have landed on the house yet.

Nice; I suppose you don't live under Heathrow approach? ;)  I just noticed it sits where the hard drive mount goes.  I'll have to make some adjustments to my CF mounting.  I suppose that's no biggie as I've been wanting to go to a horizontal SSD card, anyway.  That would make my project $200 over-all.  Need to go sell some plasma!

you know what, from the pictures i dont know if it will be wide enough for the DVI. looks like its a tight fit for the VGA! better wait before modding! i think you would need to remove the composite as well...

I expected as much.  Sometime this weekend I'll do some measuring.  Would very much like to have my 060 1200 with DVI output.

i have a 060 1200 as well.

i don't really use the scsi other than for RAM, so i guess I'll just go with the default.

I have several external SCSI devices, including CD-ROMs and R/W, DVD, and hard drives.  Once I get around to this (yeah, whenever) I'll try to remember to put up some pics.

i'm hoping it will fit with 4 ROM sockets risers stacked 2x2 under the Fast ATA. I'm also using a clockport riser thing for my subway.

i'll let you know if it works.

I hope so, otherwise I'll switch back to my 4xIDE

there is a new IDE thing coming out

I think the RF ports on the A1200 and CD32 looks kinda small to accommodate the new connector, I've been searching just in case and found this DVI (Male) to HDMI Female cable adaptor, any ideas if looks like it might work?

@Akiko:

I suspect that will work as DVI and HDMI use the same signalling. Your HDMI cable, however, will neither carry audio nor Ethernet.

EDIT: For that matter, how difficult would it be to have an HDMI port connected to the Mk2 versus the DVI?
