Still NOT crazy.
And for some reason, no bids.
WTF?

Well, they look a little beat up, and there are no detailed shots of the battery areas... for me it's too much of a gamble. $500 sure wouldn't be bad though if there's no battery damage. Unfortunately I've burned myself a few times and won't bid without decent pictures.

We in Amiga-land gripe about some of the overpriced auctions - we are not alone:

Why even bother. I bought one of those with a monitor brand new in 1985 and it was about the same price.

Most of the hardware I had in the mid-eighties is back up to the original prices.
Even Color Computer 3s, which now bring about $99.95.

I just dont get ebay posting like that:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-1200-Computer-System-w-Power-Cord-and-Manuals-Lot-/261083433645?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item3cc9c90aad

Part of the description"...Unit has NOT been tested as I do not have the proper cable to connect to a monitor or tv..."

Come on! It's A1200, comes with composite out, how hard is to test it???

This is not first time I've seen postings like that, the only one that can really say that can not be tested is A4000.

It's weird how the keys didn't yellow at the same time. I wonder if those ones are from a different batch of key caps made with a slightly different concoction of plastic.

The listing is not mine

I don't know if someone is desperate for CDTV or a bidding mistake.

Currently $610 for CDTV, Keyboard, floppy drive, controller, and mouse, plus some games.

Could end up being a fake too. I don't care how rare a game is, I wouldn't value it like that. Those that pay thousands for all the rare games have more money than sense :)

Part of the description"...Unit has NOT been tested as I do not have the proper cable to connect to a monitor or tv..."

The translation for that is :

"This is broken and definitely not working, but I still want to sell it for a high price so I'll say it worked when I put it away but now has not been tested.

Some sellers are just dirtballs.
