really? I am interested too! where is more info on those Quickpak towers? are they just towers or complete systems? for the original D A4000 or the T ?

I will post more info when I get more. I'm pretty sure these are going to be the newest T towers. Complete system? Monitor not likely, but otherwise should be full.

I should have much more info very soon and yes, this is no joke.

More info very, very soon. No smoke and mirrors, this should be the real deal.

No, I don't want to go that route. There should a substantial number of A4000Ts, I'll sell them at a modest (small) markup.

Which is why you're my favorite eBayer. ;-)

@ Itstanfo

Do you have proof or confirmation Quikpak shipped "new" A4000T's in a "much better case" as you are saying?

I have never seen any evidence to this fact.  I know they did demo a luggable A4000 type machine and also an A5000 tower machine which was an A4000T and Bridgeboard combo, but as far as I know, none of these units ever shipped.  Only the original Quikpak A4000T shipped with a A3640 rev 3.2 and two different 060 cards, the original A4060T version, designed by Jeff Boyer of GVP fame, and a A4060 Desktop version, again by Jeff Boyer.  (I know as I have owned both and currently own the Desktop 060 version).

Just so everyone knows, you have always been able to get NOS A4000T's from Software Hut for about $1000 USD.  You just have to e-mail them and ask.  I bought one last year.

No hard price yet, but it will not be many thousands. It will more likely be in the ballpark of $1,000.

Damn you Red!  How am I gonna sell this to my long suffering wife?!  The 4000T would be the Amiga of my dreams.  Add in a VT/Flyer combo and bye bye iMovie!

Now I have to come up with the money!  Siigh..

Would $1000USD-ballpark price be for an 060 based unit or for a regular A3640 based one?
