Title: Freebies to first person who can collect
Post by: zx6r6 on March 13, 2007, 07:27:32 PM
2x1500's, 1 definately not working
1084s monitor
phillips monitor

Both monitors and one 1500 were working before being put in the loft for a couple of years.

Free to first person who messages me that can pick them all (wont split) up. I live about 2 miles from Watford, Hertfordshire. UK.

Needs collecting by the weekend or I'll have to throw them in the skip. :(

You'd better put the 1500 on Ebay for international bidders. AFAIK they were mainly sold in the UK, so foreign Amiga collectors might be very interested.

That may well be the case but I got it free from someone off here so figure it would be cheeky selling it. Need rid of it quickly as I'm moving anyway.

Hmm, they're not the kind of thing you'd want to try and post, especially with those monitors, imagine the weight! :-o

Aside from that I wish you luck getting them taken off your hands.

I'd be willing to take the 1500's and pay you for postage (I can't drive) but not the monitors.

Please don't trash them, there is a limited number left in the world!  Sell them if you have to.  I'd help you out but I'm across the pond.

Since you'll end up throwing them away anyways (    ), how about offering to send any (as opposed to all) of the items to a single person?

The 1500's aren't all that common... I'd be willing to take one off your hands if you'd be willing to send it my way, although being in the US I'm not sure I'd be able to use it without a proper PSU.

If you could check on postage from your neck of the woods in the UK to where I'm at in the US, I may be willing to pay for postage (for the working 1500...but you could check on cost of sending both).  Let me know and I'll PM you my zip code. :)

You still have the 1500?

If yes we could sort something out.
I leave in Aylesbury so not far at all form Watford.

Let me know

Update.

Everything went to a good homes.
Amigakit had the monitors off me and the 1500's I ended up putting on ebay (couldnt bare to throw them) with the same offer i.e free

I was late getting back from work the day the miggys were being picked up so my girlfriend gave them to the new owner. When I got home she happened to mention that he was taking them to a college, I was intrigued so i emailed him. Here's the response:-

Hi Leigh, there going up to Northampton college.
I work in the Mac suite, and since the old Macs use 68000 as well im using then to slate the Macs from the same era by showing people demos and Workbench!

Certainly made me smile!

 :-)
