ASIM CDFS and OS 3.2
« on: September 04, 2021, 10:27:06 AM »
Hi,

I've just updated my OS from 3.1.4 to 3.2 (roms and software). I used ASIM CDFS with my CD/DVD drive on my A4000 but after the update its no longer working.... Any tips appreciated!

Tim

I think there’s a good chance that your CD0 DOSDriver got overwritten with the default from 3.2. Check SYS:OLD - the Installer may have backed it up. Otherwise you’ll need to generate a new one. I think Asim has a tool for that; if not you’ll need to make one manually using the version on the Asim install disk as a template. But remember that Asim keeps its DOSDrivers in Storage rather than Devs.

Also check user-startup to make sure your Asim mount commands are still there. They should be; I don’t think 3.2 does anything to user-startup.

Speaking of ASIM CDFS.. Is anyone selling this software today?  I have a 5 disk changer that I would like to get running and the only instructions are for ASIM CDFS...
Thanks!

PS: Simply the best CDFS for Amiga IMHO.
