fz357 -> fz357a
« on: June 30, 2021, 03:38:08 PM »
I've been reading this instruction for converting fz357 to amiga hd fdd:

 http://web.archive.org/web/20070108222257/http://www.inf.mit.bme.hu/private/fz357/

My drive has 'MADE IN MALAYSIA' sticker, but its  "three arcs (of text)  around a circle" :(

Is there any (simple) way to convert it to amiga hd floppy? It has a hd detect sensor.
Better sorry than worry.

If your drive meets the criteria of the link you posted and you build the external circuit listed,maybe,but its not what i would call simple. There are some good projects on how to modify sony pc drives to do high density on A1k forums,i have 2 of these converted drives and they work reliably.
