Issue 49 of the CRYPTmag is now out.
« on: May 15, 2007, 01:32:49 AM »
Issue 49 - "Tribute to Barry Cann" is out now.

Barry Cann, a previous Editor of the CRYPTmag, passed away suddenly on the morning of 12th April 2007. He was a keen contributor to the magazine and previous issues are full of his Steam train articles, not forgetting his poems which where always though provoking and enlightening. He will be greatly missed by all the Staff members. Rest in peace Barry.

In this issue we bring you 2 NEW Amiga projects to try out yourself:-

"Switching From PAL To NTSC And Back Again."

"A Simple 100Hz To 10KHz Square Wave Generator."

Please let the author Barry Walker know how you get on with them. Plus Barry has written a Blog you should read on why he prefers to use an Amiga to today's platforms -

http://thecryptmag.com/blog/index.php?blog=5&title=why_i_choose_to_use_an_ancient_amiga_in_&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

In reply, Ian Urie has written a reply which has stirred a hornets nest amongst the Staff members -

http://thecryptmag.com/blog/index.php?blog=5&title=in_reply_an_anti_amiga_rant&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

If you have an opinion on the subject then please leave a comment.

As well as this, the current magazine has over 70 articles to catch your interest. From Photoshop hints to Grand Prix cars, from Linux file systems to 7 sexy secrets. Enough material to keep you busy for hours.

So your saying that he`s not entitled to an opinion?

This world would be a very dull place if everyone chose the same lifestyle. There are comments on the blog from people that agree with Barry and some agree with Ian Uries opinion. What you choose to use  as your main computer and what OS you use is your choice.

Oh no no , sure he can have an opinion.  It's my opinion that this guy lives in a cave and has bad eyes and ears.
I choose LINUX/fedora as my main computer (dual boot with XP) becasue I need to get things done and enjoy modern technology  .. (ifcourse I have a amiga to play with.. my best is a 4kt with toaster/flyer, it's pretty weak today but still FUN!)  I have tried to use an amiga as main computer, it was not a productive time (well it worked O.k. back in early 90's)

BAWWW HAHA LOL,
well he wrote soemthing to
"stir up emotion and get readers."

they you write something in raction and the guy is all bent out of shape... he should stop writing if this is his reaction... LOL.

Also he thinks very highly of himself and what he does for 10 years olds.  I assume there are plenty of people out there doing good things for the community, sheech.
anyway, maybe the reason he does not check "community" web sites is beacuse there is no proper browsers on the amiga.... oh well poor guy.
