The Finnish movie Iron Sky already has the official trailer and soon we can see this SCIFI movie about Space Moon Nazis the link:

This actually looks so corny, it may be worth seeing for a laugh. Flying saucers, a Sarah Palin look alike. Yeah, this could be good in a "B" movie sort of way.

I think you've possibly misunderstood the point of the movie. It's not meant to be a serious movie, it's a sci-fi comedy. It comes from the makers of the Star Wreck movies and I, for one, am really looking forward to seeing it.

A few of humor in theses times is good, and more with a european script and movie, because the Hollywood industry always make the same histories and movies, and with 2-3 or more parts, or remakes or repremiere with the 3 D invent as Star Wars series.
-
I also really like the chosen music for the trailer. Fits so well =) (and good band otherwise).
-
One of my friends reckons he's in it as some of the scenes were filmed at a Finnish university that he goes too :hammer:
-
Can I have your autograph?
-
The first reviews point to it being mediocre at best. Funnily enough German reviews favour it more than others.

Lightwave 10! Maya and Nuke. The is where Amiga would have been had Commodore not strangled them. Sigh.
Interesting that they found the best processor to be the i7, with only 4 cores and a mainstream processor I wouldn't have thought it to be the idea processor. And only 16 GB of RAM. Amazing.

I've been following this for months now. I found it whilst looking for steampunk NAZI miniatures for wargames. Looking forward to it. As for the mediocore reviews, I tend to find most of the stuff I like is poorly received by reviewers. Let's face it, the big studios just buy good reviews anyway. We all know how corrupt the likes of Warner are from the support they gave SOPA. I'll watch it and make up my own mind.

I hope that this movie will has success because I'll see it on DVD.... because if it is a failure or has little success, been from Finland this movie doesn't realesed in the cinemas of my city where only I can see Hollywood movies and some spanish movie, because the european movies and from other countries are vetoed for the USA majors, only we can see the things that happen to North Americans.

This will be awesome!

I've been looking forward to this movie quite some time now :)

Going to watch it the movies with some good friends next friday (april 6th).
BTW Met the director at a local anti-ACTA demo some weeks ago. He's a really nice chap.

Like all ex-Amigans?

Like all ex-Amigans?
It hard to find some 3x year old from finland who doesn't have some kind of amiga background :-P
Checked his interview and he did have A500. In addition to the usual gaming stuff he mostly used deluxe paint & deluxe animator.

Must say i liked starwreck, but it had a benefit of being quite much Underground at the Time. Much Like kaurismaki stuff. Damn iPad spellcheck.. Nevertheless i do Not expect the Thrill from the Movie this Time. The preview wasnt that funny.

I got to see this on Wednesday last week when it finally made it on UK general release.
The plot, is of course, sheer lunacy, but like Mars Attacks, that's the entire point. And as with all "B" movies, I've seen better scripting and acting (and again, this is what you should expect). Unlike many B movies, however, the overall production quality was, IMHO, very polished. I've read a lot from professional critics lamenting that Hollywood would have made a much better job with the idea, and so on, but at the end of the day, they didn't.
Verdict: loved it :)
My only real criticism is that it was all over a bit to quick.

P. much - the movie was absolutely hillarious. I can't remember the last time I've heard that many laughs in a movie theater. :)
-
Not getting a theatrical release in NL :/. On the upside the Blue Ray rip is available =).
-
Watched it yesterday - somewhat nerdy but I loved it. Definitely on my BD list to buy.
-
Very meh :\. The plot is horrible, even for a B movie. I couldn't finish it.

What plot?
It's a Nazi invasion. From the moon. Accept it for what it is and I expect you'd enjoy it more :D
-
Joer, that you had because in Spain where the Hollywood movies are the overlord, this movie I'll get in DVD as only way to see it.

Wait wha... Did you seriously expect a decent plot in a movie about moon nazis?
-
Eh.
No, I don't mean it like that. Ofcourse I wasn't expecting Citizen Kane, it's just that..I don't know..a random selection of wannabe funny scenes strung together in an incoherent fashion? Bad even for a B movie?
Maybe I mean screenplay? Whatever, I'm no filmcritic :p. I just know that I found it very boring.
-
Hehe, I've watched Star Wreck before, so I guess I was better prepared. :D

Well, I guess you can't please 'em all.
@whabang
As for being prepared, I've seen Plan 9 from Outer Space ;-)
I've also seen Battlefield Earth. But we won't speak of that again...
-
I've watched Star Wreck too, have the DVD and T-shirt and like that movie more than IS. Then again, indeed not all can be pleased =).
