Naked Amiga 2000 keyboard, hooked up to a A4000
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: The two connectors to the right on the board is
GND and +5V (Pin 4 and 5 on the big PS2 DIN on the A2000 cable)

The two leftmost pins from the left are Clock and data (Pin 1 and 2 on the big PS2 DIN on the A2000 cable)

The one all by it self on the A2000 keyboard PCB is shield.

I killed of a PC keyboard to get a MiniDIN to hook this up to my A4k. The pins there are:
+5v = pin 4 (was the red lead in my cable)
gnd = pin 3 (was black in my cable)
data = pin 1 (was white in my cable)
clock = pin 5 (was brown in my cable)

and the shield was without any plastic wrapping.

Excellent non-original idea.

I make the exact same thing, ages ago, with an A2000 kb and dead peecee keyboard cables. I also leave a couple of each type (normal DIN and mini-DIN) around in my "fuss room" (aka "hack room"). :-D
