Description: This is the Startech MiniATX PSU I use in my 4000D along with an ATX adapter.  Works very well, gives much needed air-flow, and provides a little extra room for long SCSI CD-ROMs.

Also viewable in the picture: X-Surf 3cc, IBM 18GB UW-SCSI drive (upside-down to accommodate cabling,) CyberStorm MKIII with 486 fan, and Plextor 12x CD-ROM.

It's true.  Without the power supply you're missing a screw hole for one of only two screws for the cover.  None the less, mine still seems fairly rigid, and since I don't move it around, it's fine as it is.

Been thinking of doing the same to my A4000. But no matter how you look at it the stock A4000 PSU is actually quite reliable and a structural part of the case.

I am going to cut my PSU open in the back and glue a mesh on, I have already replaced the fan with a hi-end quiet fan and it made quite an improvement.
