That sounds like one of the old AmigaOne SE's.  They are pretty much a lost cause as far as USB goes.

No.  Thats not entirely true.  The XE has issues that can be somewhat fixed.  The Micro's were better off but have other limitations.  The SE is pretty much unfix-able.  

I have a Micro and USB works fine except for the occasional corruption which is caused by an OS bug.
