Re Towering an A4000T
« on: May 06, 2016, 02:13:19 AM »
I've seen several places that the A4000T case is a standard AT form factor. Has anyone ever put one into a "new" AT case? I was thinking of doing it but wanted to see some pictures if anyone has any of it done.

Toaster case add on?
You could get you a full AT case and put the bottom portion of the A4000 case into it.
It would require cutting the AT case a lot.

Haha, I just want to see how it looks is all. I cant find any good looking AT cases anyway, but would want to do it and store the original if I found a nice one.

Nothing special for a case, but I had an extra motherboard and cards. I sold it to danbeaver I think?

It had a Prometheus PCI which looks ragged as hell no matter how you install it and the cables aren't that clean, but it was simple to set up.

The only slightly odd part was where the joystick/mouse ports mount and even that wasn't too bad. It might be perfect in some AT cases. No drilling at all, just bolted right up like any other AT size board.

Interesting, but like mentioned not many cases look better than my current one. The only thing wrong with it is the door latch is broken, but I have an idea to fix it once and for all using a small set of weak magnets.
