1084s on A4000D
« on: October 24, 2007, 03:14:14 AM »
Hi
I never used an A4000, so I'm not sure if I get an A4000 or A4000 toaster if it will work with my 1084s. Do I need a multisync? Do they have a composite video output like my A1200?
          Thanks,

The 1084 is a good monitor for a 4000 Toaster system. 4000s don't have composite out, so hook it up straight to the RGB port. The Toaster can go into the Composite In of the 1084, though it's ideal to have multiple monitors for a Toaster setup.

You can't use Multiscan or other 31KHz video modes with a 1084, though.

Yes, what Matt said.

1084S monitors are often used for the composite output of a Toaster/Flyer system.  I have almost a dozen of them.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Thanks for info :-)

BTW...can you use an A520 modulator on other Amigas besides the A500? I suspect you can, but I really don't want too see smoke!!

Yes, you sure can. The A520 should work with all Amiga 23-pin video ports. And the 1084 should work exactly as well as it did with your Amiga 1200's AGA output.
