I have a Phase5 Blizzard 2060 with a 68RC060 processor in it running at 50Mhz.
My Amiga 2000, which is running OS3.5 crashes at various times after running setpatch. I know what your thinking.... that I don't have the right 68060 libraries loaded. But I have 68060 libraries installed as they should be, but they will only load properly with data cache turned off.
What I have discovered is that if I boot the computers with Caches turned off (selected on boot screen when holding both mouse buttons down). It will boot up fine, although because there is no caches it is extremely slow. Once I am booted up I can use CPU060 (Phase5 utility) to turn on Instruction Cache (an increase from about 5MIPS to 23MIPS) , and it still runs fine with no issues. If I turn on the data cache, it will sometimes crash instantly, other times it will run for a bit and then crash. Even simply moving a window will crash it when data cache is enabled.
I'm now starting to think that the data cache portion of the 68060 is detective. Is this a possibility? Has anyone else seen this problem?
