compare this g3 board to a certain type of p4 and it could come up the winner under specific scenarios...but compare it to other intel or even other competing g3/g4 motherboards which were designed to be servers....at that point its got a hard row to hoe....and even apple is competing in this space now.
Still, I wish them luck, if they could be a success with ancient sdram memory, when other servers have DDR memory, and with 100mbit, when others have gigabit ethernet...with the lower clocked bus, the lower clocked processors, and being sold at a higher price point.....if they can do all that, then maybe they can get some volume and it will bring down the price of the consumer boards...but then if they get volume with all that, why bother lowering the price....since the world is upside down and pigs are flying, why not just rake in the cash.
