Title: MSN Messenger security hole!
Post by: SimoAmi on February 14, 2002, 02:06:29 PM
Just realised, it is easy to retrieve visitors' info and their contact list and send them over the net without the visitor's knowledge or permission!

Microsoft has made available access to MSN through its DOM hierarchy. Which means that with some javascript code, hackers can get your private contact info even if your MSN messenger is shut down. :-o

Another "Just Ignore it" bug from M$!

It's probably not a bug, but a way for governments and law enforcement agencies to spy on people and/or other governments.

You might end up showing them that Amiga users are mad!

In order to protect yourself, you should configure ActiveX plugins to prompt before execution.
